Choosing Kids Luggage That Suits Your Family
Start with the trip rather than the design. A weekend with relatives needs less space than a two-week holiday, and a child who packs only clothes needs less room than one who also carries books, toys or a water bottle.
Think about handling as well. When the suitcase arrives, let your child lift it, pull it and open it. A bag they can manage comfortably at a bus stand, station or airport is more useful than a bigger one they struggle with.
Children differ in height and strength, so we do not suggest fixed age ranges or weight limits. You know your child best, and a short trial at home will tell you more than any chart.
Understanding the 16-Inch, 20-Inch, and Set Options
The 16-inch is the smaller of the two single sizes, and the 20-inch offers more packing space. The set combines both in one purchase. Siblings can each take a suitcase, or one child can use the larger bag for the main trip and the smaller one for shorter outings.
Before ordering, compare the size you need with your storage space, your car boot and your usual travel routes. Exact dimensions and weight are not listed on the product page, so please ask us on WhatsApp if you need them.
A Note on Cabin Baggage
Airlines set their own cabin baggage limits, and these can change. We do not claim that any option here meets a particular airline's rules. If you plan to carry the suitcase onboard, confirm the dimensions with us and the limits with your airline first.
Designs for Boys and Girls
This suitcase comes in Barbie, Car, Frozen, Spiderman, and Unicorn designs. Children often pick a character because they love the story or the toy, not because of who a product is meant for, so it makes sense to let them decide.
A familiar character can also help your child recognize their bag quickly in a busy place.
Features Worth Checking When Buying Children's Luggage
These are the points worth checking on any child's suitcase:
- Weight: A lighter empty suitcase leaves more of your child's carrying capacity for clothes and essentials.
- Wheels: Look for smooth rolling on the floors you use at home and on your usual routes.
- Handle: It should be comfortable for your child's height and stay firm while pulling.
- Closures: Zips should run smoothly, and the bag should close without forcing.
- Storage: Consider whether shoes, toiletries, and clothes need separate space.
- Material: It affects how you clean the suitcase and how it handles everyday knocks.
Practical Travel Uses
Used as a kids travel bag, this suitcase can cover family holidays, overnight stays at relatives' homes, weekend trips and short visits out of town. Giving your child their own bag also lets them take part in packing, which can make getting ready more relaxed.
Pack a little under full capacity. An overloaded suitcase is harder for a child to pull and harder to close.
Care and Storage
Wipe the exterior with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let it dry completely before closing it. Because the material is not listed, avoid bleach, solvents and abrasive scrubbing, and check for a care label when your suitcase arrives.
Empty it fully after each trip and check the pockets for food or damp items. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid placing heavy items on top of it.
